Peocon counts people in ZikZak and ZayZay fashion stores

ZikZak and ZayZay fashion brands just joined the group of Peocon customers. Peocon has installed people counting solutions in 4 stores in Reykjavík and Kópavogur. People counting data will be integrated with sales and POS information to analyse in great detail the behavior of the brands customers and the effectiveness of sales staff. Berglind Ásgeirsdóttir CEO of the two brands says. “We see great potential in the usage of People Counting data to help our stores and staff to improve and hope to see more profits.”

Inauguration of Harpa Conference and Music Hall

On the 20th of August the new Music and Conference hall Harpa will be inaugurated. The festivities are a part of the City of Reykjavik Cultural night. Downtown Reykjavik will be bustling with people all through the day and the very exciting program at Harpa is sure to draw a crowd. Multiple concerts, dance shows, the opening of Reykjavik Jazz festival with a high point of the lighting of Harpas glass facade and fireworks at 23:00. Peocon has installed people counters in the the Conference and Music hall and will count all the people entering Harpa and experiencing the exiting cultural events

Shoppers return to centres

The year 2010 could have been a turning point for shopping centre traffic. The Peocon Shopping Centre Index shows that in the second half of 2010 customer traffic in shopping malls was 1,92% higher than in the year 2009. Althought total traffic for 2010 was 1,96% lower in 2010 than in the previous year. This turnaround should be great news for retail organisations and means that people are again starting to flock to the stores.

After data had been collected for a short time Peocon consultants began analysing the data with regular intervals and updated management with information and trends on what was happening in their stores.
This has enabled management to take active measures to maximise sales and utilize expenditure in wages to the fullest.

The Duty Free stores at KEF airport in Iceland are improving processes and using business metrics and intelligence to acheive better business results. Peocon solutions provide key metrics that will help management keep track of progress. By keeping track of visitors to the stores the organisation in able to keep track of the ratio of travellers that visit their stores. By calulating the conversion rate of those visitors the organisation is able to keep track of their sales staffs ability to turn visitors into customers. 16 million visitors counted so far in Kungsmässan

Kungsmässan is a Shopping Centre near Gothenburg in Sweden that receives around 4,75 million visitors annually. This January Kungsmässan’s PeoCounters hit 16 million. Peocon actively counts all visitors entering and exiting the Centre and by that provides important metrics to the management team of the centre.
